The Trial Lawyers College is located on the Thunderhead Ranch in DuBois, Wyoming. It provides the most intensive clinical specialty training for trial lawyers in the United States. Lawyers who attend the College must certify that they only represent the People – and not corporations, insurance companies or the government.
Over the past 20 years, The Trial Lawyers College has provided concentrated clinical training over a three to four week period, in a ranch setting in rural Wyoming. Lawyers who graduate from the College are selected and invited to attend by the College staff and faculty. During the three to four weeks while the College is in session, the lawyers live in dormitories in a big barn and go without TV, cell phone service, or access to an Internet connection, so they stay focused on trial practice skills. The attending lawyers typically go to three clinical sessions a day, on most days when the College is in session – often working from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The College educates “the people’s lawyers” about the most up-to-date and effective trial practice methods and theories.
The Trial Lawyers College was founded by Gerry Spence, who is known and respected as one of the most successful and innovative trial lawyers in the history of the American justice system. Gerry is on Trial Lawyers College staff and is still an active instructor and member of the faculty at age 87. The Trial Lawyers College has been training trial lawyers for the people to be more effective in court for the past 20 years. In the United States, there are only about 1500 lawyers who have graduated from the prestigious Trial Lawyers College. Three of them are in our firm.
Gaddis, Herd, Craw & Adams, P.C. is the only law firm in Colorado Springs, CO, that can boast of having three graduates of The Trial Lawyers College.
